As a multiracial woman and part of the LGTBQ+ community,
so many of my lived experiences in the world have been shaped and shaded by the stories others have told themselves about those three identifiers.

My collage work is centered on creating visual prompts through new and mixed media.

I want my viewers to fill in the narrative gaps with their own interpretations and stories and then gently explore how they arrived at that that story with nothing more than a few words and a collection of images.

The concentration of my collages is often in reclaiming and transfiguring the stories told about women, BIPOC, queerness, and masculinity in vintage media. By creating space for viewers to explore their own perspective, I hope to gently challenge them to examine their own paradigms and discover the narratives they unconsciously tell themselves.

My hope is for the viewer to reflect on how the stories they tell themselves without context influence the ways in which they move through the world.
