about

an artist

It is my life’s most overwhelming joy and deeply felt responsibility to be an artist.

Art is meant for so much more than mere admiration.

Truly, art is the closest thing to magic that we have in this world - this transformative, transcendent ability it has to be interpreted so uniquely by each person based on their own unique paradigm.

Art is the immortalizer - the messenger between souls who will never meet - decades, centuries, dynasties, ages apart - with no regard to age, identity, orientation, status, or location. I cannot think of anything more wonderful to be a part of than the beautiful, overwhelming alchemy of creating.

I strive to approach this great work with an ardent curiosity and untamed drive for exploration.
Art is my life’s beloved passion.

I’ve always gravitated towards the evocative. Juxtapositions, contrasts, the unexpected, elements beyond the grasp of anticipation. My entire lived experience has been in the constant chiaroscuro of intersectionality.

My art is my greatest act of resistance and deepest expression of liberation. Years ago, giving a presentation on my work, I said that I wanted my art to be like a viewer’s favorite song - that I hoped they’d return to it over and over again for how it made them feel. This sentiment remains today, wholeheartedly. I want the art I create to resonate - my ardent wish is that it is experienced.

I’m so grateful to you for taking the time to drop by my website.

I’m currently working out of an island studio off the coast of Washington State, hoping to love it all fiercely and remain untamed.
